Ford's EV sales drop 40% in the second quarter

The company's new vehicle sales, which includes its gas-powered lines, dropped 10.3% in the quarter.

Ford's electric vehicle sales dropped 40.7% in the second quarter compared with the same quarter last year. 

The company's new vehicle sales, which includes its gas-powered lines, dropped 10.3% in the quarter. Sales of its F-150 pickup truck dropped 11%, CNBC reported

The F-Series pickup truck faced aluminum supply issues from its top supplier, the company said. The F-Series remained the top-selling truck in the U.S. 

Ford sold 549,200 vehicles during the second quarter compared to 612,095 vehicles in the second quarter 2025.
