President Donald Trump said on Monday that Iran has requested a meeting to take place in Doha on Tuesday, the capital of Qatar. 

The announcement was made in a Truth Social post, and he provided no further details. 

Kazem Gharibabadi, a senior negotiator for Iran, said that no talks with the U.S. have been scheduled, according to the Associated Press.
